Acted for Royal Bank of Scotland International as lead counsel in respect of the financing of the purchase of two aircraft by Aurigny, the airline owned by the States of Guernsey. The transaction included negotiation by Collas Day on behalf of the lender of a guarantee from the States of Guernsey.
Acted alongside SJ Berwin, in respect of multicurrency revolving credit facilities from Barclays Bank PLC to a Guernsey-based private equity fund. The matter involved complex security and structuring issues that required detailed input from Collas Day.
Instructed by Clifford Chance, advised Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank AG on the Guernsey security aspects of the Eurotunnel refinancing, which completed at the end of June 2007.
Collas Day acted as Guernsey counsel to a consortium of banks led by the Governor and Company of the Bank of Scotland and Barclays Capital as Mandated Lead Arrangers in relation to a SEK 865,000,000 facility to the multinational Capio Healthcare Group, a leading provider of private healthcare.
