Senior Appointments at Collas Day

Collas Day has seen in the new year with three senior appointments from both inside and outside the firm.
Gareth Bell, Advocate and former Senior Associate within the Dispute Resolution department, has been appointed as a Partner from the start of January. Gareth joined the firm in 2005 having practised in the City of London for six years. He has acted on some of the largest and most significant pieces of litigation to come before the Guernsey courts in recent years. He specialises in commercial disputes, trusts, insurance and anti-money laundering matters.
In the same department, Michael Adkins has been promoted to Senior Associate, also from the beginning of January. Michael has been with Collas Day since the start of 2009 when he moved from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Australia's corporate and financial services regulator. As well as regulatory and financial services work, his practice also covers corporate insolvency and restructuring matters.
In addition, Marcus Hinkley, has joined from Maples and Calder in Cayman to head up Collas Day's Fiduciary Department. Marcus specialises in trusts and fiduciary services and has taken up the position of head of department from the beginning of January. Marcus will work closely with the Commercial and Dispute Resolution teams in order to consolidate and coordinate all fiduciary matters handled by the firm.
