Collas Day has received favourable rankings in a leading industry directory.
Chambers Europe, released last week, has ranked Collas Day in the second tier of Guernsey firms for its employment and property practices. In addition, partners Chris Bound, Jason Green, Christian Hay, Sean Cheong and Ian Kirk have all been ranked as leading individuals, with Paul Wilkes and Gareth Bell being cited as "ones to watch" for the future.
Of Christian Hay, the firm's Head of Dispute Resolution which incorporates the employment practice, clients praise his "proactive and commonsense approach, which really delivers". Gareth Bell, another dispute resolution partner also received impressive reviews and was described as "undoubtedly a figure on the rise - capable, enthusiastic and demonstrating true 24/7 dedication."
The property department's highly experienced team is recognised as offering "a very good experience all round: prompt and reliable on commercial issues" and clients and peers find Head of department Jason Green, "very friendly and easy to deal with as well as constructive and proactive".
Chief Operating Officer Mike Tidd said, "Research for the Chambers directories relies heavily on comments from clients and third parties. So the way that we are ranked is ultimately determined by the people who use our services. We focus on delivering practical and pragmatic solutions for our clients and we are delighted with our rankings in the directory, especially for property and employment, and to see our people getting the recognition that they deserve as leading lawyers in their fields. The rankings and comments from referees reflect the hard work and achievements not only of those specifically mentioned but of the firm as a whole, and are a very welcome accolade."
