He can advise clients on all aspects of their relationships with regulators, clients and competitors. This includes advice relating to initial compliance and licencing matters, through to investigations and litigation of disputes.
In addition to his financial services work, Michael has an interest in corporate insolvency and reconstructions, as well as broader corporate and commercial litigation matters.
Michael comes to Collas Day from the Australian Securities and Investments Commisison (ASIC), Australia's corporate and financial services regulator. During his 7 years at ASIC, predominantly within its Enforcement Directorate, Michael was involved in some of the most significant and high profile enforcement matters handled by ASIC in the areas of financial services, regulatory compliance and corporate insolvency.
