There are many events in life where individuals have to deal with the law, some routine, others more urgent. Collas Day's Private Client team deals with all matters where our relationship is directly with you as the individual client. We liaise with your other advisers as necessary.

Our aim is to deliver our service in the way that is most appropriate to you and your knowledge of the matters under consideration.

Personal disputes

We are fully equipped to deal with contentious aspects of wealth, inheritance and residence matters, for example contested probate matters, representation of minors, contested guardianship issues, actions against trustees, inter-beneficiary disputes.

We offer an alternative dispute resolution service in addition to traditional litigation capability.

  • Matrimonial proceedings for high next worth individuals, including ancillary relief, pre-nuptials, co-habitation agreements, separations and emergency injunctive relief.

Sundry Court matters

We deal with a sundry range of matters requiring application to the Courts including:

  • licensing matters (explosive, liquor and racing)
  • small claims debt enforcement
  • applications for registering land as Terres à l'amende
  • guardianship applications and permission to sell on behalf of a person under guardianship.
